Julie Cairns
Associate Travel Designer
Hi, I’m Julie, and I’ve always believed travel is more than just visiting new places—it’s about transformation. Whether it’s a spark of connection, discovering hidden gems, or creating memories that linger long after the trip, travel opens the door to incredible possibilities.
My passion for exploration ignited on a family trip to London and Paris and grew during my college years studying International Studies, which included two semesters abroad in Paris. After graduation, I moved to Bangkok to work, travel, and dive deep into the wonders of Asia. Since then, I’ve lived in cities like New York and Austin and traveled to over 40 countries, soaking up each destination's unique culture, beauty, and charm.
Now based in my hometown of New Orleans, I use my curiosity, creativity, and global network through Embark Collective and Virtuoso to craft personalized, seamless journeys for my clients. Whether they’re seeking a luxurious escape, tranquil retreat, action-packed adventure, or a seamless flow of variety, I specialize in balancing and tailoring trips to my travelers' unique interests and style.
What I love most is connecting with my clients, learning about their dreams, and sharing in their excitement. Travel is transformative, and I’m here to help you embrace those life-changing moments while creating a journey that’s individually yours.

I lived in Thailand for a year, and it’s still my favorite place to return to. The food is amazing, the people are the kindest you’ll ever meet, and the islands are pure magic.

My favorite cocktails depend on where I am—an Aperol Spritz in Italy, a French 75 in Paris, or a Paloma in Mexico. For me, every meal or cocktail hour is a chance to immerse myself in the culture and history of a destination. It’s one of the most fun and meaningful ways to connect with a place and feel like a part of it.
